FIT®-CLEAR

A CRYSTAL CLEAR HEAT SHRINKABLE TUBING PRODUCT THAT IS ALSO HIGHLY FLAME RETARDANT!

New FIT®-CLEAR is a unique addition to Alpha Wire Company's line of FIT® Preferred Heat Shrink Products. FIT®-CLEAR is a modified polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) based, clear heat shrinkable tubing alternative offering a low shrink temperature of 150°C and UL VW-1 flame retardancy.

FIT®-CLEAR has numerous advantages over other transparent heat shrink tubing products. PVDF allows FIT®-CLEAR to remain crystal clear after application. Information beneath applied tubing remains easily legible. An excellent alternative to standard Kynar®** or Teflon®*** heat shrinkable tubing products, this modified PVDF-based product is resistant to mechanical abrasion and cut-through as well as most chemicals including solvents. In addition, FIT®-CLEAR's lower recovery temperature saves valuable installation time and protects the underlying substrate from excessive heating.

Simple, Comprehensive Tubing Solutions

Since most alternative clear heat shrinkable tubing is flammable, FIT®-CLEAR is ideal in applications where flame retardancy is critical. FIT®-CLEAR meets UL Standard 224, passes the UL VW-1 Flame Test and meets or exceeds the requirements of SAE-AMS-DTL-23053/18, Class 1. FIT®-CLEAR is put up on spools in a variety of sizes ranging from 3/64” to 2” and is RoHS compliant. FIT®-CLEAR, like all FIT® Preferred Heat Shrink Products, is available from stock for immediate delivery.
